Digital Capture

This is all possible because of digital capture and the digital darkroom. The cost of film alone during all this experimentation would have been prohibitive on my limited budget. After 18 months with the Olympus E-10, it was time to upgrade to a true interchangeable lens SLR. I decided to go with Canon glass (lenses). The choice was made for me when through my reseach I learned that at the time Canon's in camera sensor had a lower signal to noise ratio than Nikon. My first Canon was the 6 MP 10D. I then bought the 20D the day in arrived on the camera store shelf. I then upgraded to the 13MP 5D. I love this camera!! The reason I have not purchased the Canon 1Ds series is twofold. First and foremost is cost - out of my budget - and weight. The thing is a brick. When I hike for several miles with tripod and telephoto, I do not want the extra weight. Besides, I can stitch anytime I need more resolution.
